Liability Waiver & Safety Policy

Floating Kiwis Swim School · Infant Aquatics · Version 2026-07

Please read this waiver and safety policy carefully. When you check the consent box during registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to it on behalf of your child, and that your electronic acknowledgment has the same legal effect as your signature.

1. Nature of the program & assumption of risk

I understand the nature of aquatic-survival and swim lessons. I give my consent for my child to participate. I acknowledge that swimming and aquatic-survival instruction carry inherent risks — including, but not limited to, water inhalation, slips, and physical exertion — and I voluntarily assume those risks on behalf of my child.

2. Release of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Floating Kiwis Swim School, its instructor, and any host facility from claims arising out of ordinary participation in the program, except for gross negligence or willful misconduct. I confirm my child is in suitable health to participate.

3. Registration fee & tuition

I understand the annual registration fee is non-refundable. I am committing my child to the full course of instruction. Upon commencement of lessons, the entire tuition is non-refundable should I choose to withdraw my child from the program.

4. Medical information

I certify that the medical, developmental, and aquatic-history information I provide is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and I will promptly inform Floating Kiwis of any changes relevant to my child's safety in the water.

5. Health & safety expectations

Please keep your swimmer home if they have a fever, an open wound, or a contagious or gastrointestinal illness within the prior 24 hours.
Arrive a few minutes early so your child can settle in; a parent/guardian remains present and reachable during lessons.
Swim diapers are required for children who are not reliably toilet-trained.
The instructor may pause or end a lesson at any time for your child's safety.

6. Photo / video (optional)

If — and only if — I opt in during registration, I agree that images or video of my child taken during lessons may be used for future Floating Kiwis and Infant Aquatics promotions. This is entirely optional and is not required to register or participate.

Electronic acknowledgment. By checking the consent box during registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to this Liability Waiver & Safety Policy on the date recorded, and that this electronic acknowledgment has the same effect as my handwritten signature.
